The Girls visited their great grandmother. (June 17, 2008)

Edna was as happy as we have seen her in a long time.  She played with the girls and laughed the whole time.

Note!  Mother passed away on July 12, 2008.  She was two weeks shy of her 89th birthday!  She was loved by everyone and she will be missed greatly.

("Mother, Edna, Grandmother, and Grams" we all love you!)

Some old family snapshots:

My mother and dad kissing at the valentines day party at the nursing home.

They always seem to be the life of the party.

This picture ran in the Anniston Star Newspaper the day after the famous kiss!

Ben

Ben Ballard, Siddy Howle (Ballard then), Molly (Mammaw) Ballard, Mattie Lou & Bill Bunn in the kitchen at Mammaw's house.  Siddy is behind Ben fixing Molly's hair,  Mattie and Bill are sitting at the table.

The first picture is the Ballard family having dinner at Harry and Edna's (my parents) house, sometime in 1957.  L-R Gerald, the Preacher, Daddy, Billy, Mattie, Bill Bunn, and Dave (see the tattoo).

The second picture is of my grandmother (Mammaw) and my dad (Harry Ballard), apparently taken at the same family get together as the picture above, again sometime in 1957.

This third picture is of my uncle, Jim Ballard, at Sixth Ward School waiting for Troop 15 of the Boy Scouts to leave on a trip (circa 1957).

Gerald Ballard with Frank and Ed Ballard on the Harley Davidson.       (Sometime after WWII, 1940's)

Martha and Dave Ballard in an earlier time!
