Our Beach House
We are now living at Bucks Island in Southside, Alabama. At one time Bucks Island was the site of Bucks Island Marina. Bucks son, Tony, had an idea to turn the property into Key West Style homes. They turned out great! All the homes are different pastel colors, and each is set on the lot at an angle with the rear of the home facing the lake. There is a boardwalk behind the entire neighborhood and our neighbors are always walking their dogs or just strolling by in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Our boat is tied up to our pier just behind the house and is very convenient. Lee and Beth have a jet ski there also. The neighborhood men usually sit on one of our boats each afternoon and solve the world's problems, while having a glass of buttermilk (or whatever the preference). As you can guess, the kids all love to come to Mimi and Pappaw's house now. Its fishing, boat riding, water boarding, and jet skiing all Summer. All our friends and family are welcome! Ya'll Come!!
